The process to get a used car report is fairly simple and will only take about five minutes. You will need information about the used car. Here's how to get a used car report...
1. Have your used car VIN# ready. It is located on the dashboard or door frame, on your insurance card or registration.
2. Log on to CARFAX.com or click the link above.
3. Enter the VIN# into the appropriate box.
4. Click enter.Then get your payment information ready.
5. Enter your payment information, then click submit. Your used car report will be sent to you.
If you want to get a used car report on a vehicle you do need to get the VIN# from the car's dashboard or door frame. You can get one without the VIN but you will need other information about the car. The VIN# is a 16-digit series of letters and numbers that identifies the car. It is unique to your make, model and year and there is only one like it.
